As a Private Equity Intern you would be supporting the team on both the sourcing and analysis of new investments, as well as ongoing analysis and reporting of existing investments. The investment strategy has a fundamentally driven research process looking in-depth at companies, their industries, peers and competitors. Working in a small, transparent and entrepreneurial team, with a flat organisation structure, you would be expected to be self-motivated and develop your knowledge of the investment process quickly. You will also be encouraged to be rapidly independent and fully in charge of several day to day important tasks.
Your mission
- Collect and analyse information on target companies and business sectors
- Participate in the assessment of investment opportunities: business analysis, market and competition analysis, company modelling and valuation
- Participate in the investment process notably in drafting the investment note and reviewing due diligence documents
- Perform in-depth sectorial research
- Assist Luxempart’s team with the monitoring and reporting on existing investments
Your profile
- Outstanding academic records from a Finance, Business or Economics Bachelor's/Master’s program
- At least one previous internship in the following areas: Private Equity, M&A, Strategy Consulting or Transaction Services
- Strong financial and analytical skills
- Ability to gather information from various sources and draw conclusions on the investment case and valuation
- Knowledge of financial statements and forecasting, and different methods of company valuation
- Basic awareness of business models, strategies and competitive positioning
- Numerate, good knowledge of Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint
- Rigorous, flexible, precise, well organised, strong team player, excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to work independently and in an international environment
- Fluent in English as well as in German

Availability
Candidate should be available for at least a 3 months internship period - flexible starting date in January 2024 or upon agreement.
