Job description:

Your team

 

Working in the Risk Management Department, which is responsible for the oversight of all risk affecting Pictet & Cie (Europe) S.A, you will be part of the Operational Risk Management Unit.

 

Your role

 

  • Contributing to the development of a coherent and smart framework (proactive, uniform and integrated) for the oversight of operational risks managed by the business lines within the Bank, including establishing the requirements for a sound internal control system.
  • Overseeing the implementation of the operational risk framework across the Bank to ensure that it is both adequate and effective, through facilitation, challenging and monitoring.
  • Overseeing the execution of operational controls by the first line of defence through risk awareness and challenging of risk management and internal control practices (e.g. RCSA, issue and action management).
  • Carrying out RCSA control testing campaigns and conducting ad hoc thematic reviews or special investigations whenever appropriate or requested.
  • Working closely with Compliance on regulatory risk matters.
  • Providing the Bank’s management and governing bodies with regular and detailed reporting on the risk exposures incurred and on the status of mitigating actions.
  • Computing/monitoring the operational risk appetite statement metrics for the Bank.
  • Identifying industry trends and emerging risks to which the Bank might be exposed.
  • Maintaining close contact with control officers in the business lines.
  • Overseeing the outsourcing framework across the Bank.
  • Identifying efficiency opportunities by leveraging operational risk competencies at Group level.
  • Assisting with risk management digital and data analytics initiative.
  • Working proactively on various initiatives that are overseen by Risk Management.

 

Your profile

 

  • University degree: Master’s in Finance, postgraduate diploma (e.g. FRM).
  • At least five to seven years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent MS Office skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of data visualisation tools such as Tableau would be a plus.
  • Substantial experience and knowledge of private wealth management risk management would be an advantage.
  • Must be fluent in English and French.
  • Mobility would be an advantage.

 

As the successful candidate you should be methodical, thorough in your approach to your work and able to show initiative. You will also possess strong analytical, technical and interpersonal skills as well as being able to show diplomacy when required. You will also have no difficulty in working on your own and be adaptable and able to reach the targets set.
