In your function as Sustainability Risk and Compliance Manager (f/m/d) of a super management company you will work as part of a flexible Risk and Compliance team and contribute by assessing, monitoring and reporting on relevant risks with focus on ESG/sustainability and Compliance risks pertaining to Swiss Life Asset Managers Luxembourg (“SLAM LUX”) and its funds as well as further developing the Risk and Compliance culture within the organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring of and advising on regulatory developments and requirements and the development of market standards for the integration of sustainability risks
  • Enhancement of the Risk Management and Compliance policy and framework (incl. risk appetite) to incorporate the above developments and requirements and risks stemming from ESG factors (including but not limited to climate risk);
  • Review, maintenance and coordination of the SLAM LUX Policy-Framework (Internal and public policies) including annual assessment and coordination within the group/division
  • Managing Compliance related risks including but not limited performing Compliance Risk Assessments , Conflict-of-Interest-Management, implementation of regulatory or internal group requirements, monitoring legal and regulatory developments as integral part of the internal regulatory update group and AML/CTF related assessments
  • Staff-Training: Coordination of specific trainings and customization of training material
  • Enhancement of ESG and sustainability risk reporting
  • Ongoing monitoring, reporting and advising & escalation to internal and external stakeholders (e.g. Management Committee, Board of Directors, Swiss Life division and group, regulator)
  • Participation to various local and global committees and working groups on ESG and sustainability and Compliance risks including the further development / improvement of Swiss Life Asset Managers approach towards sustainability and Compliance risk

Experience

  • 4+ years of professional Compliance, Regulatory and/or Risk experience in the investment funds industry (AIF (ideally Real Estate and/or Infrastructure) and UCITS).
  • Strong Compliance & regulatory expertise in AIFMD and UCITS (focus ESG related regulations)
  • Previous experience setting-up/designing/managing frameworks related to sustainability risk and ESG related assessments and methodologies for different asset classes (ideally including illiquid alternative assets)
  • Entrepreneurial mind-set to set-up, implement required processes and further improve them
  • Ability to challenge new ideas in terms of fund structuring, investment strategy and investment processes from a risk perspective
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English. German and/or French is a plus.
  • Strong team player, dynamic and resilient with the ability to work independently
