You write sell-side fixed income research for institutional investors and issuers. Your focus will be on investment grade non-financial companies that issue in the EUR debt capital markets. It's your responsibility to monitor credit market developments and translate these into a clear view. You are able to focus on specific sectors and themes where relevant.You publish your views and opinions on a regular basis. Publications include, amongst others, thematic research, market analysis, opinions on specific sectors as well as trade ideas. You will closely cooperate with fixed income sales, trading and DCM. Visits to issuers and institutional clients are part of the job as well as media exposure.
You will be part of the Financial Markets Research team that operates from the dealing room in Amsterdam. The team consists of nine team members and a team leader.
Your working environment
The Financial Markets Research team, which is part of Group Economics, is expanding its business. Our footprint is growing quickly within ABN AMRO as well as outside the bank. Currently the fixed income coverage is focused on covered bonds, government bonds/rates financials, pension fund and insurance regulations as well as nonfinancials. We are looking to build our non-financials coverage further in the future once this vacancy is filled. The team also consists of macroeconomists and FX strategists. We all work together to provide a comprehensive view of financial market developments.

You are a professional with a strong drive to deliver quality. You possess excellent analytical and persuasive skills. The role of Senior Credit Strategist - Corporates is a key role for in our organisation for a professional who is resourceful and possess a creative and entrepreneurial spirit.
- Relevant Master degree preferably combined with a CFA or VBA or other relevant designation
- A least 6 - 12 years of experience in credit analysis
- A proven track record in analysis of corporates
- A thorough understanding of fixed income markets
- Excellent analytical skills
- Excellent writing skills
- Strong communication skills
- Be proficient with Word, Excel and Bloomberg
- Team player
- Be prepared to travel
