Associate/Manager, Middle Market Leveraged Finance – Commercial Banking

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Associate/Manager, Middle Market Financial Sponsors - Commercial Banking.

Purpose

The Associate/Manager role focuses on the structuring and execution of deals originated by the Middle Market Financial Sponsor team (“MMFS”) and on-going portfolio management of transactions executed, with exposure also to the origination of transactions from middle market Financial Sponsors.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Engage in discussions with middle market Financial Sponsors investing across the ASEAN markets, supporting the Associate Director / Director as part of the Middle Market Financial Sponsor deal team to originate Private Equity loan transactions
  • Work closely as part of the Middle Market Financial Sponsor execution deal team to structure and execute credit facilities for proposed leveraged and acquisition finance transactions
  • Prepare detailed client plans, pitch books, term sheets, industry reports, financial models, pricing proposals, and credit proposals
  • On-going portfolio monitoring and reviews to ensure credit quality and transaction profitability of the Middle Market Financial Sponsor loan portfolio
  • Interface with internal stakeholders to ensure continuous communication of customer risk and exposure profiles
  • Provide timely and accurate management information to internal stakeholders to meet business and regulatory requirements
  • Based in Singapore and reporting direct to the Head of Middle Market Financial Sponsors, ASEAN

Requirements 

  • Corporate/investment banking, finance/accounting, or transaction services industry experience, with exposure to leveraged and acquisition finance or the broader structured finance environment
  • Strong capability in financial modelling, credit analysis and credit presentation, with an understanding and ability to structure complex event driven transactions
  • Excellent time management, planning and organisation skills to ensure ability to manage multiple projects and multiple deadlines
  • Sound understanding of banking products and services, including ECM, DCM, Trade, Cash Management, and Interest Rate/FX Markets
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, with ability to interact at a senior and strategic level
  • Excellent level of business acumen and commercial awareness, including economic, cultural, procedural and regulatory issues
