Description

  • The qualified individual will be responsible effectively manage Regional Wintel and UNIX environment consisting of more than 6000+ servers. A strong knowledge of Microsoft and UNIX(Linux, AIX, SOLARIS)  operating systems
  • Perform cost / benefit analysis and make recommendations on the acquisition or enhancement of hardware, network and system software / layered product for the regional data center
  • Plan and implement technical support such that defined targets are achieved and resources are optimized
  • Work closely with Regional seniors in providing effective management servers estate
  • Participate in the determination of sound technical strategies that support corporate objectives
  • Must be able effectively communicate with the senior management, customers and end-users
  • Demonstrated ability to engage in senior level technology decision maker discussions
  • Plan and implement Wintel and UNIX technical support projects to meet the need of technology organization. Manage all technical support activities relating to the installation and maintenance of Operating System and System Software. Participate in the creation and maintenance of Wintel and UNIX platform that will ensure error free 24x7 services for all applications
  • A passion for the customer which is demonstrated through professionalism and striving for excellence in all aspects of the customer experience


Qualifications

  • Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts
  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in Financial Services
  • A solid understanding of Windows and UNIX environment
  • The candidate must be a team player and have excellent communications skills
  • Degree in Computer related major or Equivalent.
  • Clear professional communicator comfortable with engaging senior level business and technology management
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem management skills in a high pressure environment
  • Familiarity with risk and compliance
  • Prior experience in financial services or other high risk environment is extremely desirable
  • Excellent communications skills - spoken & written
  • Strong Analytical skills with methodical approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to manage activities while meeting Information Security Policy and corporate standards
  • Experience of customer support in a time-critical environment.
  • Experience of working in a heavily controls-focused environment highly desirable
