On the back of Mifid II, a global financial software provider is looking to hire an experienced salesperson to sell a new suite of software solutions to both buy side and sell side institutions in Singapore.

This solution will change the way financial intuitions consume research and engage with their research providers. It will allow financial institutions to understand how much research they are consuming, who they are consuming it from and what value each piece of research is having on their portfolio.

Our client is a market leader within the financial technology solution provider industry and has recently hired some of the best talent in the region to help them continue their growth into 2018 and beyond. You will be joining one of the most respected sales teams within their Asian operations and will have the opportunity to work for a highly regarded sales manager who has developed a number of high performing salespeople since being with the firm.

In this role you will:

  • Develop a sales plan to take this new suite of products to market
  • Build a qualified sales pipeline and concurrently manage multiple sales opportunities
  • Arrange and attend business development meetings with both existing clients and unknown prospects to develop relationships and deliver product demonstrations
  • Negotiate both financial and legal terms with prospects in order to close deal opportunities
  • Report on actual sales versus forecasted sales to management
  • Attend industry conferences and forums to generate a network of sales opportunities
  • Maintain CRM tool with updated prospect and client information

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in financial software, information or research sales
  • Experience selling into asset managers, hedge funds and other buy side intuitions in Singapore is highly desirable
  • A track record of exceeding sales targets in a new business environment
  • Must be able to work in a team environment where you will share leads with colleagues
  • Able to work in a corporate environment
  • Excellent business development skills including being able to manage sales meetings with new prospects and existing clients
  • First class communication and presentation skills
