The Role Responsibilities Strategy - Lead the Azure platform and services onboarding for the Bank's Cloud First strategy.
- Provide thought leadership on Cloud platforms and socialize strategy and roadmap across the Bank, taking continuous input to refine according to stakeholders' requirements.
Business - Lead the Core Development Squad to build the foundation of the Azure platform including capabilities such as our Cloud Factory, Cloud Patterns, IAM, Security Baseline, Network management and more.
- Lead the Cloud Service Squad to onboard, maintain and improve the Azure services as required by business, CIO teams and Cloud Enablement.
- Define and manage the Cloud Service and pattern solution roadmap required to meet expected business outcomes.
- Lead a team of talented engineers in a Squad aligned model to ensure transparency of delivery.
- Manage key stakeholders by developing and sustaining strong working relationships with business and infrastructure teams throughout the Bank. Ability to present and represent owned services to senior leadership as needed.
- Partners with other technology teams in the Bank including Security, Networks and others to ensure shared deliverables are defined properly with appropriate acceptance criteria and outcomes are of the highest quality.
- Participate in team demos and retrospectives, accepting quality work while ensuring constant process improvement throughout the lifecycle.
Processes - Work with Security, Compliance, Cloud and Technology Governance to follow appropriate policies, procedures and controls for enablement of Azure Cloud Services for the Bank
People and Talent - Lead through example and build the engineering culture and values. Set appropriate tone and expectations from the team and stakeholders.
- Ensure the provision of ongoing training and development; make sure that the team members are suitably skilled and qualified for their roles, ensuring that they have effective supervision in place to mitigate any risks.
- Set and monitor job descriptions and objectives for direct reports and provide feedback and rewards in line with their performance against those responsibilities and objectives.
- Scouting, hiring, inspiring and managing the best technology talents in the field of Cloud & DevOps, and emerging technologies both internally and externally.
- Provides mentorship and guidance for our team around software architecture and enterprise platform integrations
- Is open-minded, a team player, and excited by Cloud technology challenges in an innovative working environment
Risk Management - Ensure a full understanding of the risk and control environment within the Cloud & DevOps organisation
- Ensure onboarding of technologies are done properly with Legal, Compliance and Security Teams
- Act quickly and decisively when any risk and control weakness becomes apparent and ensure they are addressed within an appropriate timeframe and, if necessary, escalated through the relevant committees
Governance - Ensure adherence to, bank-wide technology standards.
- Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
- Improve and simplify Cloud Services onboarding governance and decisioning across the strategic Cloud Technology Themes

Our Ideal Candidate - 10 years' experience in enterprise infrastructure or software development with a focus on enabling development teams
- Project Management and Management of Engineering teams
- Strong background in Azure Cloud services and automation
- Exposure into Azure platform - Cloud Factory, Cloud Patterns, IAM, Security Baseline, Network management, etc.
- Strong understanding of compliance requirements in a banking regulated organisation
- Delivering of Terraforms
- Passionate about building and delivering APIs
- Experience with Agile software development practice & rapid prototyping and testing techniques
- Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills
