Infrastructure Technical Specialist - GCG CIS  - Platform operations manager
The position requires sound technical and business expertise in Unix/Linux System and clould platform Administration for mission critical GCG business applications, which require the individual to understand sector specific customer requirements while considering risk and compliance. 
The individual needs to be able to co-ordinate day-to-day operational support and 24x7 out of office support of 2000+ Unix/Linux Systems used by 200+ GCG applications, co-ordinate in strategic and customer initiatives to maintain service availability, co-ordinate in maintaining sector Unix/Linux risk and compliance posture, and participate in sector technology initiatives. The role is also expected to work with vendors and partners globally and participate in global initiatives for the GCG CIS sector.
This position also requires to  manage the hardware and software vendors, 3rd Party resources from various vendors.
This role also requires to work very closely with  GCT application teams, CTI and GCT architects and Developer Operations teams.
  • Experience in Leading Unix Administrators, Webhosting Administrators, project design review, end to end project build, configure, deploy at least for 6 years, Application architecture knowledge - to design the infrastructure architecture and integrate the products
  • Expertise on Unix, Linux, Pivotal cloud Foundary, Openshift and Middleware Webhosting products and knowledge on MQ and TIBCO Infrastructure needs
  • To manage GCG CIS servers and associated infrastructure for all users in the groups making up Citi in Asia, EMEA and globally where required
  • Creation of the operational support organization to cater for applications on Linux infrastructure during the project and transition phase
  • Webhosting products knowledge (IBM Web sphere, Apache, Tomcat, GEMFIRE and Web Servers etc.)
  • Manage day to day activities of the team to ensure deliverables and service levels are met
  • Be responsible for the appropriate provision of resource and priority calls where necessary
  • Develop and implement ways of eliminating service outages and incidents
  • Ensure all activities are consistent with the Citi strategy
  • Motivate and Inspire individuals, managing performance and identifying training needs as when required
Expanded Responsibilities:
  • Act as single point of contact for Platform operations and  ensure and maintain service quality standards
  • Provide leadership for projects and technical solutions for GCG systems
  • Collaborate with production management, applications teams and infrastructure teams to plan and coordinate changes or improvements
  • Manage the technical deliverables for projects to high quality standards
  • Accountable for root cause analysis for Severity 1, Severity 2 and chronic recurring incidents impacting sector area
  • Support GCG CIS Location strategy by establishing the team in CSIPL
  • Work with local management to streamline hiring process, onboarding and staff trainings
  • Provide mentorship to team members, help with the technical and process guidance
