Financial Crime Risk is a Global Function that brings together all areas of financial crime risk management at HSBC and is dedicated to implementing the most effective global standards to combat financial crime. The function has been set up in a way that enables us to build on our achievements in managing financial crime risk effectively across the bank and continue to strengthen financial crime detection, anti-money laundering, sanctions and anti-bribery and corruption compliance.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as VP, FCC Oversight and Reporting Manager .

Principal responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of the Financial Crime Risk governance framework, including strategy, policy and standards in terms of governance and reporting at country level.
  • Support the secretary of core enterprise wide Financial Crime Risk governance committees and functional forums as well as manage country level escalation to regional committees.
  • Implement an effective reporting and oversight capability in Country which enables the FCC function to report FCC risk to relevant country and regional governance committees.
  • In collaboration with other teams within FCC, maintain the risk steward view of the effectiveness of the financial crime risk framework and ensure that this view is communicated consistently to relevant risk governance meetings.
  • Work with Business Management to maintain the country Risk Appetite metrics and Taxonomy for AML, Sanctions and Anti Bribery and Corruption.
  • Coordinate and deliver the Enterprise Wide Risk Assessment for Anti Bribery and Corruption, AML and Sanctions risks.
  • Work with other stakeholders on implementing or driving key initiatives across the FCC function in country.
  • Providing inputs to Training and Certification curriculums, where relevant.
  • Any other matters as directed by Head of Oversight and Reporting and other senior stakeholders within Financial Crime Risk


Qualifications
Requirements
  • Prior experience in one or more financial crime roles.
  • Knowledge of AML, Anti Bribery and Corruption and sanctions, and application to relevant lines of business, would be an advantage.
  • Relevant experience in the financial services industry, preferably within a large financial institution.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple issues and priorities and demonstrated judgment and poise in challenging circumstances.
  • Lateral thinker with an ability to interpret and solve complex issues.
  • Excellent communicator, both written and oral and strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Ability to analyse information and identify potential areas of concern that are fact based.
  • Works well across a diverse team and is willing to assist others as needed.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Proactive self starter with proven ability to meet challenging deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience of working effectively within a large team, collaborating for success.
