Alpha Associates is an independent private equity, private debt and infrastructure manager and advisor based in Zurich, Switzerland. We are an international team of more than 30 and are looking for a motivated individual to join our team as Head of IT and Project Manager. The firm is owned and managed by its founding partners and is an asset manager regulated by the Swiss Financial Market Authority. Our working language is English.

We manage funds-of-funds and customized accounts for institutional and private clients worldwide. We make primary fund commitments, direct co-investments and buy mature portfolios in secondary transactions.

Private Equity IT Projects & Systems Manager

The successful candidate will have the following tasks and responsibilities

As Application Manager / Project Manager

  • Overseeing the continued development and enhancement of a proprietary business-critical investment management software
  • Improving the business workflows of the investment process as well as the accounting and client reporting cycles
  • Liaising with end users to define needs and structuring their input in a detailed manner that is understood by a team of software developers
  • Managing application release cycles and testing procedures
  • Co-ordinating an external team of developers
  • Training and supporting users

As IT Systems Manager

  • Co-ordinating an external IT support team and other service providers
  • Responsibility for the company's IT processes
  • Training and supporting users
  • Managing ad-hoc projects

The ideal candidate will have

A university degree or higher education in economics, finance or technology and at least 2-5 years of relevant working experience, preferably in the private equity area. Candidates must have an affinity for IT and ideally also for financial controlling, be detail-orientated and have a structured way of thinking. Furthermore, strong communication, prioritisation and self-management skills are being looked for.
Project management, change management and/or software release experience is a clear benefit. Fluency
in written and spoken English is a must, German would be an advantage. Experience with MS Dynamics
CRM would also be of benefit.
