  • The Pension Fund of Credit Suisse handles an asset portfolio of over 16bn CHF in the interest of its beneficiaries, the Credit Suisse employees in Switzerland.
  • The analytics department within the fund serves the risk and portfolio management teams. Our role is to organize data in order to extract valuable insights for investment decisions.
  • We use modern open source tools and state of the art third-party services to collect data from various sources, transform and analyse it, and make it available to our internal and external business partners.
  • In your role you will be responsible for extending and maintaining our analytics platform and to promote standard methodologies in the area of software engineering. You will engage directly with all relevant partners and drive the process from business analysis to feature delivery.
  • The opportunity to expand the functionality of our central data hub (Python 3.6, mongoDB), especially around its data pipelines and interfaces, in close cooperation with the business
  • The challenge to understand the risk and investment controlling functions of the fund and support them with technology solutions and automation
  • The responsibility to make risk and investment information accessible to internal and external partners by building Python APIs, Dashboards (plotly dash, bokeh), Notebooks (jupyter, pandas) and Excel interfaces (xlwings)
  • The possibility to improve our build, test and deployment infrastructure (jenkins, pytest) and our DevOps practices
  • The chance to spread your knowledge to members of the risk and investment department to improve their Python programming skills
  • The responsibility to lead projects and coordinate with vendors in the domain of risk and investment technology and analytics

You Offer
  • Completed university degree (Bachelor/Master) in Software Engineering or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience or an otherwise consistent track record of building software with Python
  • Excellent Python development skills and understanding of Python standard methodologies
  • In-depth experience with the scientific Python stack (numpy, matplotlib, pandas, jupyter)
  • Experience in the risk and/or investment management industry is a plus; the strong desire to learn about these topics is a requirement
  • Willingness to work in a business unit and to collaborate closely with its partners
  • Good command of English and German
