Windows Communications Specialist, Skype for Business (Contract, Zurich)

On behalf of our client, one of the most established financial institutions worldwide, Swisslinx are looking for a Windows Communications Specialist with experience supporting or deploying Skype for Business in large environments.

This is a contract role with a strong chance of extension based in Zurich, Switzerland.

Windows Communications Specialist, Skype for Business (Contract, Zurich)

In order to be considered for this position, you will possess the following skills:

• 1 to 3 years experience supporting or deploying Microsoft Communications Solutions (Skype for Business) in large environments
• Experience deploying, configuring, and supporting Skype for Business, including supporting core functionality on desktop / mobile clients, and integration with Microsoft and custom applications
• 3+ years experience deploying, configuring, and supporting Exchange 2010+ or VoIP platforms (Avaya, Cisco, etc.) in an enterprise environment
• 3+ years experience administering all aspects of Windows Server environments, including provisioning, supporting, monitoring, and troubleshooting
• General understanding of Active Directory, DNS, Routing, and other core network technologies
• Exposure to Firewalls, Proxies, Network Segmentation and other core security services
• Experience with Windows Server administration and support (or other Microsoft Products)
• Experience with PowerShell (or other scripting languages)
• Ideally MTA, MCST or MCSA certified
• Fluency in English

As the successful candidate you will join a dynamic team responsible for operational support of a Global Skype for Business 2013 implementation with Enterprise Voice capabilities. The role will be primarily responsible for conducting critical system maintenance activities in the environment in order to enable the stability and resiliency of this real-time service. This role provides opportunities for significant growth and career development in a world class IT support function, and provides exposure to an exciting and growing real-time collaboration platform.

Your responsibilities will include:

1) Troubleshooting incidents escalated from L1 Support and Local Help Desk for the Lync Unified Computing environment
2) Conducting critical system maintenance activities required to maintain service quality and performance of the Skype for Business environment (or core Lync features), including: patching, server refresh, capacity management, development and review of reports, and backup / recovery.
