Business Unit Overview
The Aladdin Product Group develops and supports every facet of BlackRock’s information system’s needs. Our global teams perform a wide variety of activities from maintaining system stability to growing the features and functionality of our state-of the-art trading and asset management platform, Aladdin.
Command Center Operations (CCO) is responsible for the global Command Center which proactively identifies, escalates, communicates and resolves incidents for BlackRock and external clients. CCO also enhances operational stability through operationally focused cross functional projects, structured documentation, reporting and, disaster recovery testing. CCO drives proactive incident and problem management reducing and preventing incidents from occurring through data driven trend analysis and reporting.
About the role:
We are looking for individuals interested in developing the operational tooling to support the Aladdin platform which is used by over 100 of the top global corporations.
Our mission is incident prevention and enhancing the operational stability and scale of Aladdin. If you are interested in joining our new development team to build new operational tools and enhance our existing toolset we would love to meet with you.
We are looking for a motivated, self-starter, who enjoys a challenge, has a strong background in designing and writing excellent code and wants to be part of one of the world’s top FinTech companies.
Skills / Qualifications:
We are interested in experienced people who have a proven track record of delivering creative solutions in an efficient manner. Some of the following skills are desirable but not essential:
- Programming: Python, Java
- Usage of code management software: Git, JIRA
- Experience of APIs and understanding of HTTP and REST architecture.
- Experience with modern web development frameworks/libraries like Angular, High-Charts, React
- Extensive use of working on Web Technologies (HTML 5, Angular 2, Angular 4, React)
