You'll add value by designing and implementing the technical development and maintenance of the MI applications for key strategic data which is used to define our Business Strategy. Working within a technical and dynamic team you'll ensure scheduled jobs run and data is available to support the strategic vision of a single point for all MI, Data and Application support.

Gathering and documenting requirements from business, you'll design, develop and manage the delivery of solutions using .Net C#/ VBA macro. You'll ensure that the team is effectively developed, aligned to the central vision and implementing appropriate technology solutions to support the strategic ambition of the organisation in respect of best practice, involvement in department wide solution development and specifically the use of desktop and web based technologies

You'll be encouraged to explore and develop tools and technologies to support the development methodology, across requirement gathering, development, delivery and testing.

You'll have the opportunity to support the personal development of peers and members of the team, sharing your technical expertise and continuing to develop technical excellence in the disciplines underpinning the development of reporting and applications.

Other aspects of your role include,
*Partnering with business to ensure all requirements are captured, accurately articulated and implemented.
* Ensure data availability for continuation of live service.
* Maintaining a consistent level of excellence in delivery of ad-hoc analysis, constantly seeking ratifying and corroborative analytics across a strong network of contacts and data sources.
* Supporting the Data Insights to effectively develop and implement appropriate technology solutions in line with our strategic ambition and best practice.

We seek those who can use analytical expertise to demonstrate the value of a strategic solution, and who can genuinely collaborate effectively. You'll have expert knowledge and experience of developing in: SQL Server 2005/2008 R2/2014, Transact SQL, Query profiling and optimisation, Database design and Performance monitoring.
