This is an exciting time to join this rapidly expanding Birmingham based Financial Services business who are looking for an Internal Audit Manager.The role will plan and complete, risk-based internal audits across the business by following the Internal Audit plan.

An exciting Internal Audit Manager opportunity has arisen to join an established Financial Services organisation based in Birmingham. Forming part of the Internal Audit function, you will be responsible for conducting risk focused audits across the business, which will contribute to the continuous improvement of control processes internally and follow the Internal Audit plan.

You will be given the opportunity to manage key stakeholders and interact at all all levels, ensuring that audit findings are discussed objectively and assertively in order to agree action points and solutions.

Utilising your strong communication skills, you will be expected to work with the newly-appointed Head of Audit to identify the right mix of specialist skills required to deliver the engagement. You will be encouraged to develop your knowledge and understanding of the business unit's plans and strategy to focus audit work on the highest risk.

Responsibilities:

*You will report into the Head of Internal Audit.
*Assist with the preparation of reports to the Audit Committee.
*Deputise for the Head of Internal Audit as required.
*Deliver one off activities and projects as agreed with line manager.
*Deliver internal audits in accordance with the annual Internal Audit plan and the Internal Audit Methodology.
*Manage the work of the Internal Auditor.
*Meet personal development objectives set by the Head of Internal Audit.

Skills/experience:

*Ideally you will have Financial Services experience and have practical experience of the scoping, planning, and completion, of risk-based internal audits.
*Excellent communication skills are required, both written and verbal and you should be confident at communicating with staff at all levels.
*You will be ACA, ACCA, CISA qualified or an IIA qualified Auditor, ideally with 3-5 years' internal audit experience .
