Glasgow VP Financial Crime Team Leader EDD & Investigations

Leading sub-teams covering Enhanced Due Diligence Advisory, Financial Crimes Testing and Investigations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the EDD/Advisory team with oversight over the team members
  • Assess the Financial Crime risk associated with new and existing clients providing robust enhanced due diligence process.
  • Keeping the firm compliant with Financial Crime related regulatory updates
  • Challenge existing processes, looking for enhancements and efficiencies where possible, collaborating with colleagues regionally and internationally.
  • Acting as an escalation point and mentor for junior members of the team, managing day-to-day prioritisation.
  • Enhancing the value and reputation of the Glasgow based AML / FCC

Skills required

  • Degree educated or equivalent.
  • Recent experience of Anti-Money Laundering Compliance or KYC Operations.
  • Strong knowledge of Money Laundering Regulations in the UK, ideally with exposure of requirements in other jurisdictions.
  • Experience in Know Your Customer requirements including customer identification program, customer due diligence and enhanced due diligence.
  • Understanding of financial markets and products including Equities, Fixed Income, Commodities and Investment Banking/Capital Markets.
