Our outstanding client who is one of the world's largest independent financial advisory groups are looking for an excepetional conadidate for a 3 Month contract that could extend. They are looking to recruit an AML Assistant to join the compliance department. This newly-created temporary position will play a vital role in supporting the firm's MLRO at a time of fast-paced change in the financial crime regulatory sphere.

They are looking to recruit an AML Assistant to join the compliance department. This newly-created temporary position will play a vital role in supporting the firm's MLRO at a time of fast-paced change in the financial crime regulatory sphere.

Responsibilities:

New Client On-boarding (PEP and High-Risk Clients)
* Assist MLRO as required, including reviewing draft client acceptance paperwork, organising and administering UK Business Acceptance Committee meetings and liaising with overseas colleagues on escalations to the Divisional Business Acceptance Committee.

Annual Client Review (PEP and High-Risk Clients)
* Assist the MLRO in planning and coordinating the annual review exercise and in reporting the findings to UK and Divisional senior management.
* Review and Remediate Existing clients.
* Review and analyse selected existing clients and the existing risk assessments to determine if they have been accurately categorized.

Monitoring
* Assist in carrying out desk based and thematic reviews of the Private Wealth Division.
* Composition of reports of completed reviews and monitoring activities.

Provide general assistance and support to the MLRO as required.
* Filing and archiving.
* Gifts & Entertainment reviews.
* More advanced tasks over time.

Experience, Skills and Competencies Required:
* Demonstrable experience in a Client Onboarding or MLRO support role.
* Methodical, structured and rigorous approach to delivery.
* Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
* Excellent organisation skills.
* Ability to prioritise and work on own initiative.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Ability to foster strong working relationships within the team and with the businesses.
* Excellent Excel knowledge and Certificate in AML or Financial Crime desirable.
