Overview of Role

Business Analysts are responsible for supporting internal business customers to help deliver business change across a number of areas. You will be working closely with the Project Manager to help analyse requirements and shape project deliverables across the Global Product and Client Reporting Programme.

The Programme will define for Schroders' Products (Funds and separately managed accounts) a global industrial reporting platform with output standards across both digital outputs as well as traditional Word/PowerPoint/PDF formats:

Key Objectives of the Programme include:

  • "Operationalise" production and delivery
    • Common business processes across regions
    • Coordinated and unified umbrella of Product Reporting, leveraging a common infrastructure
    • Common reporting components for use across asset classes and regions (holistic approach)
  • Consistent global source of information for reporting (internal & external)
    • Move from tactical "on desk" data sources to strategic "golden source"
    • Create "golden source" data as needed i.e. disclaimer and commentary database
    • Support client customisation within our active management service proposition
  • Modernise delivery of information to clients : Digital First
    • Enable multiple delivery channels, including sending data to client's platforms for their analysis and reporting
    • Innovative commentary delivery (i.e. Podcast, video and natural language generation)
    • Present timely thought leadership and Franchise views
  • Reduce complexity and create synergies
    • Business process redesign to facilitate consistent standards globally across the franchise framework
    • Leverage legacy reporting budgets to fund a strategic solution

Essential Skills/Experience

  • Excellent understanding of the Asset Management industry
  • Good knowledge of Client Reporting systems/ processes
  • Ideally some Performance Measurement & Attribution (PMA) knowledge
  • Data Analysis/ Management experience
  • Strong BA skills/ techniques
  • Strong communication skills

Desirable Skills/Experience

  • Experience of working in an agile environment (preferably SAFe)
  • Experience of leading/mentoring junior members of the team
  • Experience working in an Operations environment
  • Experience of test planning/execution
  • Experience of both large and small scale change projects
  • Working knowledge of equities, fixed income & derivative asset classes
  • Relevant Business Analyst and/or Asset Management qualifications
