HSBC are developing a Project Execution capability to implement critical changes globally. Within this team, a specific portfolio is being developed to partner with the COO Management team which will be implementing the strategy.

Principal Business Analyst responsibilities

  • Responsibility for defining current and future state Operating Models for Capital Markets Business
  • Defining the high level solutions required to satisfy Capital Markets Deal Flow optimisation
  • Responsibility for documenting detailed requirements for associated technical solutions to address the Operating Model optimisation
  • Responsibility for Planning the solution delivery and managing dependencies
  • Oversight of the solution build, test and deployment
  • Responsibility for embedding the solution and transitioning the work to BAU
  • Identify and remove barriers to programme success. Always acts in the HSBC's best interests and willing to openly discuss potentially difficult topics
  • Responsibility for standardising requirements cross product/LoB and across regional hubs, where possible, to ensure that the alignment to overarching GB/GBM strategic approach and avoidance of duplication
  • Work closely with related Portfolio or Group teams to ensure alignment of their programme with the wider change portfolio strategy.

Requirements

  • Experienced in defining process flows and target operating models (Capital Markets experience a positive)
  • Highly developed reasoning and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written and spoken) - comfortable with detail, comfortable with senior stakeholder engagement
