Opportunity for an experienced credit underwriter to support the Wells Fargo Commercial Distribution Finance portfolio in the UK, France and the Nordics.

Commerical Distribution Finance (CDF) is an Inventory floorplan business operating globally, working with manufacturers of products in the Marine, Recreational Vehicle, Motor Sports, Outdoor Leisure, Agriculture and Industrial sectors. The business provides distribution finance to facilitate manufacturers to distribute their finished goods to their dealer distribution base, whilst at the same time providing financing solutions to the dealer base to hold the manufacturers inventory over an extended period that will facilitate an orderly sale to an end consumer.

This role is responsible for the credit assessment of new and existing dealer opportunities based UK / Nordics / France that will operate under approved Vendor programs and will include the granting of credit authority to approve transactions.

The Underwriter will have their own lending authority and will be required to make written recommendations to management for those deals above their own lending authority.

Responsibilities: 
•Assessing credit risk profile of UK / Nordics / France based dealer transactions and approving or recommending those transactions are an appropriate investment decision for CDF in compliance with CDF strikezone / delegated authority. This will include new transactions, annual review of existing transactions (> $1mm line size) and change requests on existing based credit lines.
•Working collaboratively with Commercial and Account Management teams to ensure data is collated and presented to allow for effective analysis and application of judgment and opinion.  
•Analysis will include reviewing and analyzing financial and non-financial information in collaboration with all stakeholders to prepare a credit pitch document to a high standard to achieve right/first time approvals. This will include adequate assessment and mitigation of key transaction risks.
•The role will decision deals referred from the businesses Auto Decisioning systems.
•The Credit Analyst will be accountable for recommending and establishing appropriate BQR, CQR and Risk Asset Classification Ratings for the transaction, utilizing approved models.
•Adherence to Credit Risk Policies and Procedures in executing on above responsibilities including strict adherence to delegated investment authorities.
•The Credit Analyst at all times should operate in compliance with CDFs risk appetite and at all times dealer transactions should be compliant with the Vendor programs to which they relate.
•Responsible for ensuring all approval conditions are satisfied, finance and other legal documents are appropriately executed and a closing memo is prepared confirming the transaction is eligible for funding.

Market Skills and Certifications
•Credit experience in inventory floorplan finance or experience in underwriting secured credit facilities
•French underwriting experience.
•Fluent Swedish  and English Language speaker with understanding of and UK/Nordic legal environment with respect to factoring and/or title over inventory
•Competency in preparing and pitching credit presentations to management
•Ability to identify risks and where available mitigants to those risks
•Strong inter personal skills – ability to establish professional working relationship with Commercial colleagues whilst maintaining clear independence in decision making.
