The role supports the EMEA Business Controls Manager and EMEA Business Controls Executive (BCE) to help provide transformational leadership for State Street’s evolving controls agenda for eight business units and six corporate functions across the EMEA region

The role supports the EMEA Business Controls Manager and EMEA Business Controls Executive (BCE) to help provide transformational leadership for State Street’s evolving controls agenda for eight business units and six corporate functions across the EMEA region:

  • Production of Risk Analytics including thematic and trending analysis of risks/issues/incidents for the EMEA BCE, Senior EMEA Governance Committees and beyond
  • Represent EMEA in various global forums as required (e.g. Global Business Controls Consortium), ensuring information sharing between global and regional stakeholders
  • Acting Company Secretary of EMEA Business Controls Steering Group. Ensures strict management of agendas and relevant content gleaned from intelligence gathering. Actively manage follow-up actions/minutes
  • Involvement in incident review activity e.g. SWAT team allocation on major incident remediation planning
  • Support executive level reporting for various UK/EMEA Risk Committees
  • Act as delegate for the EMEA Business Controls Manager in various forums/committees as required
  • Aid in the resolution of ‘unplanned activity’ arising
  • Support certain legal/regulatory reporting processes for EMEA BCE
  • Build key relationships with senior business controls stakeholders across differing business units/corporate functions/locations

Skills and Experience:

  • Strong background in financial services/management consulting
  • Previous experience of controls and Risk Management/Audit/Compliance
  • Desirable - previous experience/exposure to BCM (Business Capability Model), First Line Controls, Self-Assessment or Assurance
