The Risk division has a fundamental responsibility to protect the Bank. With group-wide responsibility for the management and control of credit, market, operational and reputational risks, we have a unique vantage point which allows us a holistic view of our businesses and our clients. Key responsibilities:

  • Building and tracking against programme plan in line with risk and bank-wide standards
  • Lead the development and delivery of complex, high profile change programme; ensuring objectives and are well defined, with clear deliverables linked to programme outcomes and benefits, are effectively tracked against milestones and are driven to success
  • Delivering robust project management in line with standards and controls set out bythe central Risk Transformation Office
  • Engaging workstream leads to track progress and manage internal and regulatory reporting
  • Managing stakeholders at all levels up to the Risk ExCo deploying a blend of credibility and assuredness with the deftness of touch needed to deal with sensitive issues and, at times, politically complex environments
  • Monitoring programme dependencies, risks and issues, intervening and/or escalating where appropriate
  • Ensuring visibility of issues to ensure they don't become risks and effect delivery of the programme to time, quality and cost
  • Working with other Risk and Infrastructure functions to ensure that significant interfaces and dependencies are managed and that opportunities for collaboration are understood and acted upon
  • Supporting the Head of Change with programme leadership and business change
  • Supporting the Head of ERM, leadership team and Chief Operating Officer with strategic decision making, conflict resolution and prioritisation of demands across ERM's functions
  • Supporting Head of Change in delivering necessary support to workstream leads in solution development, planning workshop delivery and change management to ensure changes are received appropriately

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Ability to work across several time zones managing a virtual team, mainly from experts within the Bank
  • Broad understanding of risk management, preferably at Deutsche Bank; where significant depth is required in an area it should be pulled from (Subject Management Experts) SMEs
  • Excellent problem-solving skills. Ability to analyse business issues, causes and consequences, and develop strategies and solutions that drive lasting change.
  • Knowledge of the theory and practice of the Bank's process, risk and control taxonomies and methodology
  • Wide-ranging high level understanding of risk, with broad knowledge across risk types and business activities
  • The ability to successfully navigate a complex organisation, build strong relationships and work collaboratively with teams across the Bank
  • Demonstrated experience in Programme and Project Management of (cross divisional/multiple geographies) projects
  • Strong analytical skills you can deploy in finding solutions to problems and identifying, then delivering on, opportunities
  • Excellent partnering and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to successfully navigate a complex organisation, build strong relationships and work collaboratively with teams across the Bank
  • A diligent and proactive approach to running a project management office
