We are seeking an intellectually curious, numerate individual to join the Global Healthcare team to help grow our business with a clearly identified new revenue opportunity. Duties will include financial modelling and analysis, as well as writing reports and conducting therapeutic research, among other activities. We are seeking candidates from strategy consulting, accounting, transaction services or healthcare consulting. A good working knowledge of excel is essential. A background in biology or another science would be advantageous.

We operate in a flexible and entrepreneurial environment and unlike in other Equity Research firms, there is very little bureaucracy. We are looking for someone who is a self-starter, driven and comfortable with numbers and complex ideas. The successful candidate will:

- Have a significant impact and will benefit from high levels of exposure
- Rapidly gain familiarity of the Pharma and broader Healthcare sector, learning from senior analysts and carrying out their own research
- Receive on-the-job training for financial modelling, the interpretation of clinical trial results and how to write stock reports
- Develop strong financial modelling skills
- Be expected to carry out their own sector and company research and eventually to communicate findings to clients
- Help answer client queries about our research or wider questions on the sector

We will consider each application on its own merits but the following qualities are crucial:

- Good numeracy and financial modelling skills; accuracy is crucial
- High levels of analytical ability
- Ability to build and maintain financial models accurately and solve problems under time pressure
- Strong attention to detail
- At least basic level of understanding of stock valuation fundamentals
- Interest in the Healthcare/Pharmaceutical industry
- Confidence and fluency in communicating complex ideas effectively

The following items would be advantageous but are not essential:

- Background in biology, chemistry, medicine, etc
- Experience of working in finance, accounting or strategy consulting
- Any experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industries
- Advanced excel skills
