IT Support Engineer is required to support the IBD & GM Analyst & Associates training programme for 8 weeks.

IT Support Engineer is required to support the IBD & GM Analyst & Associates training programme for 8 weeks.

The Engineer will be initially imaging, configuring and gathering IT Kit at Nomura's London head office and then providing dedicated IT support to approximately 200 users at an external rented office space at Fenchurch Street, London. This Engineer will be responsible to ensure the IT setup is completed for the training programmes, and IT issues are resolved in a timely manner to avoid any disruption to the delegates during the training.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Setup desk IT Kit (desktops and laptops)
  • Dealing with IT support issues
  • Manage day-to-day support to ensure stability, reliability and availability of applications
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with users
  • Escalating issues as necessary per established escalation policies and paths
  • Collect diagnostics and other supporting evidence to identify the root cause of problems
  • Create and maintain all operational documentation, processes and procedures


Qualification, Experience & Skills:

  • Microsoft Windows OS
  • Microsoft Active Directory
  • Desktop Hardware
  • Microsoft Office suite
  • ITSM tools. E.g. Service Now or Remedy
  • IT Support with customer service background
  • Knowledge or conceptual understanding of infrastructure technologies - servers, networks, core services, storage, etc.
  • Fast learner, ability to absorb and apply information
  • Assertive, self-motivated and collaborative
  • Able to effectively balance time between day-to-day support work and other tasks
  • Ability to prioritise and effectively triage issues
  • Strong relationship building
  • Communicates in an appropriate and professional manner.
  • Desirable Microsoft Certified Professional (MCSA, MCSE, MOS)
  • ITIL certified is a plus or should have some understanding ITIL concepts and principles
