Investment Manager - Private Equity
Our client is a well established private equity company based in central London.
An opportunity has arisen for a driven, commercially minded accountant looking to move out of practice or consulting, to join the execution team as an Investment Manager.
The firm is very active in the small and mid-cap market and the role will involve exposure to all facets of the private equity front office including deal generation, structuring, execution, portfolio management and exit.
The candidate is likely to be a chartered accountant, with around 7-8 years work experience, and currently working in a corporate finance role within an accountancy/advisory firm, or already having moved into a PE fund, Private Office, consulting firm, or a Corporate Development/M&A team within industry.
Sector knowledge is not as important as experience of having worked on transactions, preferrably mid-size/smaller deals.
The person will not be expected to immediately originate deals but they will ideally already have experience of attending and contributing to client pitches and will be expected quickly to contribute ideas to their sector team for new business initiatives
The candidate will have to demonstrate that they are very much a self starter, particularly if they are currently working in a company that has a strong brand name and customer base
The company gives excellent long term career prospects, with the majority of the partners having been promoted from within the firms.
Morgan McKinley is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
