Overview:

You will be a part of the United Kingdom Litigation and Regulatory Enforcement team as a junior lawyer who will be supporting the Bank's management of contentious matters.

You'll be working in a dynamic team in a high profile area and have the potential for professional growth in providing legal advice and solutions to senior management across key stakeholders in the Bank, including within Legal.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing litigation matters and regulatory enforcement matters as part of a team of 11 lawyers (6 permanent, 5 alternative resources) based in London
  • Covering both litigation and regulatory enforcement matters and being involved in a significant amount of internal and external reporting
  • Interacting with other stakeholders, notably the Incident Management Group, Compliance and Group Audit
  • Interacting with regulatory authorities and senior management and internal stakeholders as required
  • Interacting with senior Front Office staff as well as senior Legal and Regional management
  • Interacting with Deutsche Bank lawyers internationally, as well as external counsel across a number of locations

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Significant experience of handling high profile and high value litigation, arbitration and / or regulatory enforcement matters, including cases heard in the High Court in the United Kingdom and other tribunals
  • Ability to work with a large portfolio of cases and manage multiple internal and external stakeholders both in and outside the United Kingdom
  • Good technical, presentation, communication and organisational skills
  • A team-player who enjoys working with lawyers and non-lawyers alike and who is proactive, motivated, commercial and focused on providing timely and creative solutions to contentious issues
  • Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders and quickly win their confidence
