TEKsystems are currently seeking a Risk and Finance Architect for an engagement with a leading trading organisation in London.

This individual needs to be familiar with the business processes, applications, data, infrastructure, and security solutions relevant to Finance and Risk (Market Risk & Credit Risk) functions of a finance and/or commodity trading organisation.

  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, or Information Sciences….other education.
  • 3-5 years of architecture design experience
  • 5-8 years’ experience working in commodity trading
  • TOGAF certification
  • Other Technical, Program, and Business certifications
  • Software Engineering background and direct experience
  • Business Analysis background and direct experience
  • Project Management background and direct experience
  • Application Maintenance background and direct experience
  • Governance Board background and direct experience
  • Experience in creation and maintenance of enterprise and business architectures, including interpretation of business goals and drivers, translation of business strategy and objectives into “operating models”, and the analysis of relationships between people, organisation, service, process, data, and technology 
  • Experience in creation, iteration and maintenance of the IT strategies to align IT plans with business objectives and the development of roadmaps to drive forward and execute that strategies
  • Good communication and presentation skills with experience in translating business requirements into functional and technical specifications at varying levels of detail and decomposition, especially for bespoke and unusual contexts
  • Proficient in general architecture concepts like application, integration, presentation, data, infrastructure, network infrastructure design
  • Experience working with and managing outcomes for global IT, architecture, and business stakeholders
  • Background in investment and portfolio management, and working with commercial stakeholders in direction setting
  • Deep understanding of the deal life cycle and the data, tools and applications that support the front, middle and back office functions of a trading organisation
