Role

You will be joining an established programme team, responsible for delivering a critical compliance initiative to tight regulatory deadlines.  As Business Analyst / Senior Business Analyst you will liaise day-to-day with strategic partners across Legal and Compliance, Business Management and Infrastructure functions (Global Technology & Operations) to ensure that solutions and remediation to meet compliance are implemented in a consistent and complete manner.

Responsibilities will include a combination of the following:

  • Drafting of Business requirements specifications and facilitate sign off with each of the key stakeholders
  • Conduct Gap analysis and assess current business processes/product flows against future regulatory requirements
  • Design and documentation of Target state processes/product flows plus overlay with impacted systems
  • Liaise with Business stakeholders, Global Technology and Operations, Compliance and Legal and capture into a detailed requirements document including both functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Support the development of the Functional requirements specifications & solution / application design working closely in collaboration with Global Technology and cross-functional teams
  • Design and implementation of the Target Operating model including workflow definition & user training
  • Attend test defect meetings & conduct business impact assessment in conjunction with user groups
  • Testing new functionality / documentation of UAT scenarios / UAT testing / user walk-throughs
  • Support Programme team in following up / project management various initiatives 

 

Ideal candidate - required:

  • Experience of communicating regulatory requirements to stakeholders
  • Previous Financial Services Experience in a Strategic Change Management capacity
  • Extensive experience gathering requirements and analytical activity, with a mix of business, operations and technology
  • Working with resources who have limited time to support project work and are balancing priorities
  • Ability to work within a project team and effectively liaise with all supporting functions to plan, influence and co-ordinate across multiple stakeholders often engaging in multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Experience documenting & making refinements to existing processes, definition of new process/workflows an advantage  
  • Understand regulatory change backdrop to ensure appropriate priorities are set
  • Previous experience of teamwork and critical projects (including ability to handle time sensitive and stressful situations)
  • Assertive with good relationship building and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent qualitative and quantitative problem solving skills

Ideal candidate - desired:

  • Previous regulatory experience – Basel, MiFID I or MiFID II or similar
  • Relevant work experience from a top tier consulting firm, would be an advantage
  • Previous Investment Banking experience not essential but useful
  • Experience of working in a large, global banking organisation preferred
  • Bachelor’s / Master’s BA or Masters degree from top university
