This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated self-starter to make a large contribution to the continued growth and success of SGX Index Edge. Since its launch in 2015, SGX Index Edge has successfully established itself as an index solution provider to investment banks, asset managers & ETF issuers across the APAC region. We are now expanding our footprint to London. You will be responsible to successfully on-board & manage indices calculated & developed by SGX Index Edge with a view to grow & expand the operation further.

Key Responsibilities

  • Daily maintenance of existing futures-based and cash equity indices across several different strategies and themes, including the implementation of corporate and index actions
  • Daily verification of daily index values with cross reference to calculated data outside of Index Engine
  • Process improvement of index operations in liaison with business, including development of new SOP’s
  • Develop automation of corporate action adjustments and index rebalancing in collaboration with business
  • Back-testing of new index concepts across futures and equities in collaboration with business
  • Identification of procedural risks and takes steps to mitigate such risks
  • Provide suggestions for systems enhancements for the Index Engine
  • Preparation of notices for vendors, members and clients for any upcoming index changes.
  • Production of reports for errors and exceptions in relation to index calculation

Technical Competencies

  • Degree holder with background in quantitative finance
  • Minimum of 2 years working experience in a middle office environment
  • Experience in portfolio construction techniques and portfolio analysis will be an advantage
  • Proficient in Python and Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel VBA
