Excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional to join a growing company who have just completed their largest deal to date to take on the management of finance.

Real estate company in Mayfair who are a specialist property lender providing finance, loans and funding.


The Senior Financial Controller based in London will hold the following responsibilities:

Leadership role in the Finance Function for a group of managed companies that operate within the property and corporate finance lending market. The related companies includes newly established businesses including three publicly listed lending companies, operating entity and a number of UK and offshore lending SPVs.

  • To assist the Finance Director with all accounting related matters, including business structuring and forecasting for the various public listed companies and SPVs;
  • To take leadership in managing a complex cash management function;
  • Provide monthly management accounts for all group entities in a timely manner to allow for appropriate business decisions to be made, including the development of new KPIs;
  • Management and preparation of information for institutional investors who are part of the lending structure;
  • Preparation of financial covenants for the finance being sort by the business, including reporting to those lenders;
  • Reporting the Finance Director, the role will have operational autonomy and we are looking for a strong candidate to provide system improvements and ideas for the growth of the business;
  • To ensure all day to day accounting functions are managed by the small team, including journals and payments alongside the existing FC;
  • Review of the work produced by the junior accountant who will complete the day-to-day operations on several SPVs;
  • Prepare budgets/forecasts and analysis of costs on an ongoing basis, particularly in relation to new business initiatives and projects;
  • To development a strong understanding of the business model and the challenges that it will face, and provide advice on how to manage those challenges;
  • To liaise with auditors and other key stakeholders in the business, including the Boards and preparation of information for approval by those Boards of proposed lending opportunities;
  • Assist with the implementation and improvement of a new CRM system and the potential change to the accounting packages used if deemed appropriate;


The Senior Financial Controller based in London will have had the following exposure:

7+ years experience within financial services or property

Qualified accountant

Management experience is essential

Driven, proactive and problem solving attributes are a must
