Senior Operations Analyst - PM Desk - Hedge Fund – 150k total comp
Lieu de travail : Londres, Angleterre, Royaume-Uni
Salaire : negotiable
A leading hedge fund are looking to make a newly created hire in to its operations team.
The remit of the role is far more broad and technical than operations roles at competitor funds. In fact it isn’t particularly focused on standard core line / processing duties. The remit stretches across trade support, data analysis, stock loan and corporate actions responsibilities. Most responsibilities will get you close to the market, close to the products you are dealing with and also close to the desk who you present / discuss numbers with. There is also a strong project element surrounding infrastructure build out and ad-hoc business focused projects given to you by the desk that you face off to (you will have regular contact with the CIO). You will have the opportunity to develop programming skills in the role through in house and offsite training (to help you better manipulate and critically analyse data sets). You can expect to have a genuine input in to investment decisions based on analysis / recommendations that you and your team provide the desk with. Given the nature of the role progression opportunities are not limited and previous moves from the team include risk management and another individual that is now an Analyst.
The client is looking ideally looking for somebody with 2-5yrs relevant experience. This could be in a competitor hedge fund operations / MO role, or perhaps an individual that has completed an IB graduate scheme in operations / trade support and is now looking for a new challenge. A pre-requisite is a top class academic profile.
The base salary on offer has flexibility in order to hire the right candidate, but would typically offer 60-80k. The bonus potential is significant as performing well in the role would typically yield a large % of your base as a bonus payment, meaning that the role would comfortably pay a six figure comp for an exceptional individual. To provide a guideline, you are replacing an individual (that is moving internally) that earned 150k performing this role in 2017.
