A global trading desk within a tier 1 London bank is looking for the best software engineers (core Java) to join its global, multi-year program within the London team. This role is Associate to VP Level. The team is aiming to revolutionise how the buy-side executes in the market, executing trades across the full array of equities products and automate the trading lifecycle, making it an exciting, industry-leading place to work.

This role is Associate to VP Level.

 

The team

  • Deploys code to production daily – exciting, fast-paced environment
  • Has proximity to traders and quants who are equally as passionate about technology
  • Can go from code complete to production in under an hour
  • Values the best technologists and rewards technological achievement within financial services

Requirements

  • An excellent understanding of core Java and at least one other programming language
  • Practise TDD and BDD engineering techniques
  • Ability to collaborate in a highly agile, high performing team
  • Have an understanding of Java IOC frameworks such as Spring

 The role also requires a variety of strengths, including:

  • Excellent knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
  • Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, maintenance, development, and software improvement
  • Understanding of architecture and design across all systems
