TRADE AND TRANSACTION REPORTING MANAGER

SUMMARY

My client, a multinational Investment Bank based in the city, is seeking a manager for their global Trade and Transaction reporting team in London that will be responsible for management oversight and execution of the day-to-day functioning and performance of the Transaction Reporting team on a global basis. The purpose of the Transaction Reporting team is to perform all reporting processes and controls required to ensure that the Bank meets all of its regulatory trade and transaction reporting obligations across all applicable global regulatory regimes. These will principally cover the MiFID (MIFIR), EMIR, Dodd Frank, MAS, LBMA and FSFM reporting requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leading and managing the Transaction Reporting team under the direction of the Head of Regulatory Operations.
  • Delivering the strategy for the Transaction Reporting team as communicated by the Head of Regulatory Operations.
  • Managing the Transaction Reporting team within the budget allocated by the Head of Regulatory Operations.
  • Ensuring that staff and processes within the Transaction Reporting team work effectively and efficiently.
  • Ensuring that there is adequate governance over the Bank's trade and transaction reporting obligations and performance.
  • Participating in weekly internal governance forums as required.
  • Leading the Transaction Reporting team in working collaboratively and effectively with other Operations teams in all global locations to enable excellent service to be delivered by the Operations department to internal and external clients.
  • Developing and maintaining a strong partnership with key stakeholders such as Compliance and Technology.
  • Ensuring the effective and efficient operation of processes within the Transaction Reporting team and taking proactive steps to optimise processes within the Transaction Reporting team on a continuous basis.
  • Ensuring that processes carried out by the Transaction Reporting team are accurately captured in written procedures and that these procedures are continuously updated.
  • Participating in all internal Change the Bank ("CTB") initiatives that impact the Transaction Reporting team.
  • Identifying and managing risks within the Transaction Reporting team including operational risks, regulatory risks, conduct risks, cyber security risks and financial crime risks (including,but not limited to, risks associated with money laundering, terrorist financing, bribery and corruption, sanctions breaches and fraud).
  • Continuously evaluating and improving the Transaction Reporting team's control framework.
  • Participating in all Internal Audit and Compliance Monitoring reviews of the Transaction Reporting team and closing all resulting actions within agreed timelines.
  • Ensuring direct reports adhere to all relevant Bank standards and policies.
  • Identifying, developing and retaining top talent.
  • Providing meaningful, timely and accurate trade and transaction reporting management information ("MI") to the Head of Regulatory Operations, internal clients and stakeholders.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • At least 3 years of previous experience managing a regulatory trade or transaction reporting function in a financial institution
  • Previous experience of interacting with an organisation's senior stakeholders
  • Previous experience of preparing risk and control MI for senior management and senior committees
  • Deep understanding of UK banking business as well as regulatory trade and transaction reporting
  • Excellent knowledge of global regulatory trade and transaction reporting obligations (particularly MiFID (MIFIR), EMIR, Dodd Frank, MAS and FSFM)
  • Focused on results and delivery
  • Degree qualified
  • Resilient, work well under pressure and able to adapt quickly and effectively to changing circumstances
