Senior Project Manager / Business Analyst, Finance Department


SG CIB is the Corporate and Investment Banking arm of the Société Générale Group. Present in over 50 countries across Europe, the Americas and Asia. SG CIB provides corporate, financial institutions, investors and public sector clients with value-added integrated financial solutions.

DFIN/GBI/COO is a Change team in charge of Digital & Transformation of Finance department and its related BAU functions. In APAC, the team is also covering Product Control, Market and Credit Risk monitoring functions.The team is mainly focusing on non-IT initiatives/projects and is acting as the authority for process design & operating model on its perimeter.


Main missions

Steer FinanceTransformation

  • Defining & leading strategic projects roadmap orientations
  • Steering budget with sponsors and ensure budget execution
  • Challenging IT program orientations/roadmaps/costs (critical view out of project framework) based on expertise, 360 degree perspective of operational processes and ongoing evolutions

Transforming the Operational Model
  • Contributing to the strategy of the Operating Model (IS Strategy for example)
  • Ensuring and proposing solution to handle the alignment of Finance processes in APAC to the Global Operating Model
  • Providing support to Finance teams for any re-organization or optimization of the Operating Model

Continous Improvement
  • Identifying the opportunity of improvement
  • Proposing new way of thinking
  • Promoting Digital Transformation & Innovation
  • Driving the functional changes such as process improvements or any project not involving IT.
He / She will report locally to the head of DFIN/GBI/COO Asia team

Main responsibilities

Contribute to Finance APAC transformation:
  • Participate to the upstream definition of the strategy and the roadmap
  • Build the business case to seek funding prior to the launch of a project
  • Ensure Target Operating Model is in line with global/regional standard taking local specifics into account
Manage & develop an Account (grouping of different projects under the same domain)
  • Define, structure and monitor the Account roadmap,
  • Ensure delivery with good quality, on time & on budget of all underlying projects
  • Support, develop and coach resources working for the Account, anticipate roadblocks & capacity of execution issues
  • Demonstrate deep understanding on the topics, become a functional trusted partner of the Account
  • Raise alerts on time, effectively communicate to senior stakeholders cross departments, represent Finance APAC in the Regional/Global organization
  • Follow up Account's need in terms of budget prioritization & digital transformation


Academic background:

  • Engineer degree, bsc/ba, msc/ ma, mba, cpa/ca, cfa, frm would be a plus.
  • Pmp, prince ii, six sigma certification would be a plus.
  • Minimum of 10 / 12 years experience.

Technical skills:

  • Office pack, project management skills, understanding of new digital technologies, internal it architecture (fo to accounting) would be a plus.
  • Functional background expected on one of the following areas: accounting norms and standards (ifrs, local gaap is a plus), regulatory reporting processes, liquidity and scarce resources management, product control, market, credit risk,

Soft skills:

  • Team player, client oriented, approachable, experience in developing/coaching team members
  • Ability to analyze//handle complex issues (strong analytical sense) & propose effective solutions
  • Ability to quickly give a synthetic overview (good oral & written communication) & communicate with top management
  • Ability to drive the change, to influence without authority, adaptability, autonomy, innovative
