Hi All, one of our client, a long-established credit fund headquartered in the UK, is currently recruiting for a Conducting Officer- Risk & Compliance. You will be acting as a MLRO approved by the CSSF. A minimum experience of 5 years in Risk & Compliance is required.



You will act as the Compliance & Risk Officer (MLRO) approved by the CSSF and will report directly to the Board.
Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Providing advice on the regulatory implications of new regulations and changes to the business profile;
  • Ensuring that the Firm's compliance programme is kept up to date and fit for purpose;
  • Undertaking on-going compliance monitoring on the basis of a risk-based compliance monitoring programme;
  • Undertaking compliance risk assessments;
  • Monitoring the operations of the complaints-handling process and considering complaints as a source of information in the context of its monitoring responsibilities;
  • Monitoring the development and periodic review of the Firm's product governance arrangements;
  • Making and effecting recommendations for improvements regarding the manner in which compliance is achieved;
  • Preparing comprehensive written reports on compliance matters for the Board; and
  • Ensuring that regulatory compliance risk is taken into account in the Firm's day-to-day operations

  • Development and update of company procedures and processes, in particular related to risk management
  • Risk management and investment compliance monitoring processes
  • Definition of risk profiles
  • Monitoring of the regulatory, contractual and internal limits and measures (entailing keeping up-to-date with regulatory changes and evolution)
  • Quality controls of data and reports (in particular, reporting and escalation to the Board)
  • Risk mitigation
  • Advising on financial crime issues.


  • Bachelor in Economics / Finance / Accounting / Law
  • Minimum 7 to 10 years of experience in the financial sector, and minimum 5 years of experience in Risk Management
  • Experience in regulatory and compliance matters in the fund management industry
  • Fluency in English, French is considered as a strong advantage
  • Able to manage time and work under pressure to tight deadlines
  • Able to manage the demands of numerous tasks
  • Able to work on own initiative and within a team environment
  • Self-motivator and able to motivate others
  • Diplomatic when faced with issues
  • Able to discuss financial performance with non-finance colleagues
  • "Roll up sleeves" attitude getting involved directly in the workload
