We are looking for a Lead Buyer (m/f/d) for our Procurement team
As a Lead Buyer reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will play a key role in supporting and developing the procurement function at KPMG Luxembourg. You will be responsible for managing end-to-end sourcing and purchasing activities across your assigned procurement categories while working closely with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver value through strategic procurement initiatives.
In this role, you will contribute to the development of purchasing strategies, supplier optimization initiatives and cost-saving opportunities. You will also ensure compliance with procurement policies, maintain strong supplier relationships and support the continuous evolution of the procurement function.

We are looking for a Lead Buyer (m/f/d) for our Procurement team
As a Lead Buyer reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will play a key role in supporting and developing the procurement function at KPMG Luxembourg. You will be responsible for managing end-to-end sourcing and purchasing activities across your assigned procurement categories while working closely with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver value through strategic procurement initiatives.
In this role, you will contribute to the development of purchasing strategies, supplier optimization initiatives and cost-saving opportunities. You will also ensure compliance with procurement policies, maintain strong supplier relationships and support the continuous evolution of the procurement function.
What you will be working on
- Propose and develop purchasing strategies for assigned procurement categories.
- Analyze spend allocation, supplier portfolios and procurement opportunities.
- Develop short-, medium- and long-term action plans including spend optimization, contract renewal strategies, supplier rationalization and risk mitigation initiatives.
- Participate in defining savings targets and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Identify, evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost and reliability.
- Lead sourcing activities including RFPs, RFQs and supplier negotiations.
- Manage purchase orders and monitor delivery performance.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships and monitor supplier performance.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, internal controls and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare procurement reports and contribute to cost control initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and provide guidance regarding procurement processes and procedures.
What we look for
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics or a related field.
- Several years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, purchasing or supply chain management.
- Experience in supplier sourcing, contract negotiation and supplier relationship management.
- Good understanding of procurement processes, sourcing methodologies and procurement best practices.
- Ability to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive procurement efficiencies.
- Experience working with procurement systems and ERP tools (SAP, Oracle, Coupa or similar).
- Strong analytical and reporting skills, including advanced Excel capabilities.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to build collaborative relationships and influence outcomes across the organization.
- Fluent English is required; French is considered an asset.
