Are you an experienced Audit Assistant Manager ready to step up, or an established Audit Manager looking for greater portfolio responsibility within a supportive and collaborative accountancy practice?



Fletcher George Recruitment is working with a highly successful firm of Chartered Accountants in Weybridge to recruit an Audit Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a varied audit portfolio, manage assignments from planning through to completion and continue developing both technically and commercially.



You will join a collaborative team in which high-quality audit work, strong client relationships and the development of junior colleagues are genuinely valued. The position offers the responsibility of a broad managerial role alongside the support of an experienced leadership team.




The Role



As Audit Manager, you will manage a portfolio of audit clients and oversee the delivery of assignments from initial planning through to completion. You will act as a key point of contact for clients while managing budgets, workflow and the development of junior team members.



Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing a portfolio of audit clients and ensuring assignments are delivered efficiently and to a high standard


• Leading audit assignments from planning through to completion


• Reviewing complex statutory accounts, including group structures, using Caseware


• Providing technical guidance on UK GAAP and UK ISAs


• Reviewing corporation tax computations as part of the wider compliance process


• Managing audit resourcing, workflow and assignment deadlines


• Monitoring work in progress, budgets and recovery rates across your portfolio


• Building strong client relationships and advising on audit and accounting matters


• Coaching, mentoring and reviewing the work of junior team members


• Identifying process improvements and opportunities to provide additional services to clients


• Supporting the firm's wider business development activity

About You



The firm is keen to meet ACA or ACCA-qualified Audit professionals with strong experience gained within a UK accountancy practice.



You are likely to be working at Audit Assistant Manager or Audit Manager level and will have:

• Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and UK ISAs


• Experience leading audit assignments from planning through to completion


• The confidence to review complex statutory accounts


• Experience managing client relationships and responding to queries directly


• The ability to coach, support and develop junior colleagues


• Strong organisational and commercial skills


• The ability to manage multiple assignments, budgets and deadlines
