A industrials-focused private equity firm specializing in lower middle market companies is looking to add an Associate to their team. They are committed to creating long-term value for their investors and partnering with exceptional management teams to accelerate growth and drive operational improvements. You will play a critical role in development, deal sourcing, evaluating and executing on investment opportunities in the lower middle market. You will work on deal teams, work closely with management teams, and collaborate with senior partners to drive value creation and achieve investment objectives. Your expertise in private equity, experience in leading teams, and knowledge of the buy and build thesis will be essential to our success.
Their investment strategy allows them to focus on companies with strong growth potential, often with revenue between $10 million and $50 million, where they can create value by acquiring complementary businesses and driving operational improvements.
Private Equity Associate Responsibilities:
- Cultivate key relationships with business owners, management teams & industry experts
- Source, evaluate, and execute buy and build investment opportunities in the lower middle market in partnership with senior partners
- Conduct in-depth industry research and analysis to identify investment trends and opportunities and to support investment theses development
- Develop and execute investment strategies and business plans to drive growth and value creation through acquisitions and operational improvements
- Lead due diligence efforts and manage deal teams to ensure successful deal execution
- Support portfolio company management teams to drive operational improvements and achieve strategic objectives
- Actively participate in fundraising efforts and maintain relationships with investors
Private Equity Associate Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in investment banking experience (preferably in industrials)
- Strong financial modeling, analytical, and due diligence skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with the MS Office suite, especially Excel (financial modeling) and PowerPoint
