Data Analyst opportunity to work on a high profile programme of work at a leading financial services organisation.
You will be responsible for the following:
- Data Profiling, examination and analysis of data within data platforms from data production to data consumption
- Identify data patterns, consistency, data quality issues, risks, overall data trends
- Analyse and document critical data insights
- Attribute level analysis based on source files received from data manufacturers, suppliers
- Analyse data feeds / data supply chain to produce definitions and associated business rules (at attribute level)
- Creation of business and data quality rules based on observations from profiling analysis
- Ability to produce and deliver mapping documentation to development teams. e.g.:
- Table/attribute names and metadata from Source Files and Staging tables analysis
- Identify and map attributes to target data platforms / tables / attributes
- Reconciliation of tables and columns between source and physical database and Identify discrepancies
- Identification of potential new attributes to be added to physical database
- Data lifecycle change management
- Manage change process for all attribute definitions, business rules and mapping documents created for the data feeds with the appropriate business stakeholders
- Review and obtain approval for all mapping documents, business rules and data quality rules with appropriate product owner and development manager
- Ability to undertake full metadata and lineage analysis of data journeys through an organisation
To be successful in this role you must have a strong data anlysis background with technology experience in SQL, Informatica (IDQ), Collibra, or similar.
Ideally you should also have previous experience in the financial services sector
