An exciting opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join a high-performing and fast-paced organisation based in Central Sydney. Leading a sizeable Accounts Payable team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of a high-volume transactional function while driving performance, process improvement and stakeholder engagement across the business.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys solving complex issues and is passionate about developing and mentoring high-performing teams. Reporting to a Senior Finance Leader, you will be responsible for:
- Lead, mentor and develop a team of Accounts Payable Officers, fostering a positive and collaborative team culture
- Oversee the end-to-end accounts payable function within a high-volume transactional environment
- Manage workflow allocation, team performance and service delivery standards
- Handle and resolve complex supplier queries, payment issues and disputes
- Build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Partner with operational and finance teams to ensure efficient invoice processing and payment practices
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and drive operational efficiencies
- Monitor AP controls, compliance and reporting requirements
- Coach team members, provide ongoing feedback and support professional development initiatives
- Proven experience managing an Accounts Payable team within a high-volume environment
- Strong leadership capabilities with a demonstrated ability to build engaged and high-performing teams
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to service excellence
