We're seeking a senior leader to drive our Capital Change agenda, leading the translation of complex regulatory and strategic requirements into practical business outcomes. This is a highly visible leadership role that sits at the intersection of Capital, Financial Risk, Treasury, Technology and Business teams.
This is the largest role within the team, leading a significant workforce and shaping how capital-related change is delivered across the Group.

The Capital Change team is responsible for delivering strategic and regulatory change impacting the Group's capital framework. We work closely with Capital, Credit Risk, Treasury and Technology teams to implement evolving APRA requirements, improve capital management capabilities and ensure sustainable regulatory outcomes.
As Executive Manager (Chapter Lead) of Capital Change, you will lead a large team of experienced analysts and specialists while partnering closely with the General Manager (Crew Lead) and Crew Tech Lead to set strategic direction, prioritise change initiatives and build capability across the function.
This role will suit a senior leader who combines deep capital or financial risk expertise with a strong track record of leading large teams through complex change. While change delivery experience is important, we are specifically seeking candidates with established subject matter expertise in Capital, Credit Risk, Regulatory Capital, Prudential Regulation or related Financial Risk disciplines.

On any given day, you'll
- Lead, coach and develop a team of approximately 10 direct reports and a broader team of 30- 40 people.
- Set the strategic direction for Capital Change initiatives and ensure delivery of key regulatory and business outcomes.
- Drive the implementation of new and evolving APRA capital requirements across processes, data, systems and reporting.
- Partner with senior stakeholders across Capital, Credit Risk, Treasury, Technology and Business functions.
- Provide leadership and oversight across multiple concurrent change initiatives, balancing competing priorities and regulatory commitments.
- Represent the function in executive and governance forums, providing clear recommendations on risks, impacts and delivery outcomes.
- Build organisational capability and strengthen the team's technical expertise in capital-related change.
- Ensure robust controls, governance and delivery discipline across all initiatives.

Essential experience
- Deep subject matter expertise in Regulatory Capital, Capital Management, Credit Risk, Regulatory Reporting or a closely related Financial Risk discipline.
- Significant experience operating within large, complex banking or financial services environments.
- Strong understanding of APRA prudential standards and capital frameworks.
- Proven people leadership experience, including leading large teams, developing talent and driving performance outcomes.
- Experience influencing senior executives and navigating complex stakeholder environments.
Highly regarded
- Experience in credit risk capital policy, capital modelling, risk methodology, or credit risk modelling.
- Experience leading implementation of major regulatory or capital-related change programs.
- Understanding of the interaction between capital requirements, risk frameworks and business strategy.
