Senior Network Engineer | Leading Trading Firm | Sydney (Other Global Offices Considered)

One of the world’s leading trading firms is hiring a hands-on Senior Network Engineer in Sydney. You’d own the infrastructure behind all of the firm’s trading and non-trading activity across APAC.

You’ll work on

1. End-to-end APAC data centre deployments, including network and security platforms
2. A complex international LAN/WAN, plus campus networks
3. Multi-zone, multi-tier firewall architecture across APAC
4. Arista and Cisco, all managed as Infrastructure as Code
5. Automating, monitoring and benchmarking for reliability, capacity and latency

This is for you if

1. You have 10+ years as a senior network engineer or architect, with proven on-box experience
2. You’ve designed, built and supported data centre, LAN and WAN environments
3. You’ve worked on low-latency networks
4. You manage networks as code, not just from the CLI
5. You’re comfortable administering Unix systems

Bonus: experience at a trading firm, market maker, hedge fund, investment bank or exchange. Colocation, exchange connectivity, multicast and PTP are also a plus.
