Working closely with senior stakeholders across Australia, New Zealand and broader regional teams, you will contribute to the enhancement of KYC frameworks, processes, controls and training while helping maintain a robust financial crime compliance program.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and coordinating remediation activities arising from internal audit findings.
- Monitoring progress against key milestones and ensuring evidence supports issue closure.
- Supporting the implementation of policy, process and control enhancements.
- Conducting quality reviews of KYC due diligence and customer risk assessments.
- Providing guidance, training and coaching to stakeholders and team members.
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes, controls and operational effectiveness.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders across risk, compliance, audit, legal, operations and client-facing teams.
- Demonstrated experience in KYC, AML/CTF, financial crime compliance, risk, audit, regulatory, legal or related disciplines.
- Strong understanding of customer due diligence, customer risk assessment and financial crime risk management.
- Knowledge of corporate and institutional banking products and environments.
- Proven experience managing remediation programs, quality assurance activities, or control frameworks.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and presentation skills.
- The ability to work autonomously while managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A tertiary qualification in Business, Finance, Commerce, Economics, Accounting, Law or a related discipline.
