C# Options Trading Developer

The C# Options Trading Developer joins our client’s Futures & Options team to contribute to the analysis, design, and development of core trading systems. Role Overview
The C# Options Trading Developer will collaborate with technologists, traders, and quantitative researchers to develop and support business-critical trading systems. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining backend systems focusing on performance, scalability, and reliability. Success in this position will be measured by the seamless integration and robust operation of trading platforms in a fast-paced environment.

Key Skills & Experience

• Lead the development of trading systems using C# with a focus on back-end performance and multi-threading
• Manage full software development lifecycle from requirements gathering to deployment
• Build and optimise scalable, high-performance trading infrastructure in a cloud environment
• Collaborate with traders and quantitative researchers to translate business needs into technical solutions
• Document technical specifications and ensure code quality through profiling and design best practices

Nice to Have

• Experience with Microservices, Azure Service Fabric, Microsoft Orleans, Envoy Proxy, gRPC, Protobuf, React JS, Docker, Kubernetes, Octopus Deploy, and ELK Stack
• Knowledge of trading, derivatives, risk, pricing, and Greeks

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse, design, and develop business-critical trading systems using C#
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-performance infrastructure
• Optimise backend systems through profiling, design improvements, and multi-threading techniques
• Maintain and support existing systems and implement new features as required
• Engage in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes to ensure system robustness

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a technical or related discipline
• Proven track record in C# development with extensive knowledge of design, profiling, OO, multi-threading, and performance optimisation
• Experience in Microservices and Cloud Technologies (preferably Azure Service Fabric, Microsoft Orleans, Envoy Proxy, gRPC, Protobuf, Docker, Kubernetes, Octopus Deploy, ELK Stack)
• Strong background in developing business-critical systems from requirements to production
• On-site presence required in Hong Kong
