Key Areas of Responsibilities

1. Lead the setup of custody business and participate in the strategic planning of custody business
2. Establish and implement procedures manuals, workflows and control measures related to asset custody services
3. Connect and establish relationship with stakeholders, including but not limit to sub-custodians, counterparties, internal departments, etc
4. Participate in system setup, implementation and testing and to collaborate with system vendor and internal departments to follow up project status and progress
5. Manage or support day-to-day settlement, reconciliation and corporation action operation, including but not limited to Hong Kong equities and fixed income securities, global stocks and bonds, etc
6. Monitor relevant market developments, assess operational and system enhancement needs, and implement measures to respond to changes
7. Undertake ad-hoc projects as assigned.

Requirements

1. Postgraduate qualification in a related discipline
2. Holding a relevant SFC license for custody services is required
3. Preferably with minimum of 8-10 years of experiences in global custody and banking industry
4. Familiar with custodian business with good knowledge and operating experience in various settlement systems operations, including operations in SWIFT, CMU, CCASS, Euroclear/Clearstream etc.
5. Experience in leading a team to perform trade settlement and corporate action event cycles
6. Mature, high level of attention to detail, able to work independently under pressure and strong sense of meeting tight committed deadlines
7. Able to resolve settlement issues and conscious of operation risk
8. Good interpersonal skill and willing to accept challenges
9. Good verbal and written communication skills in Mandarin and English
10. Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other presentation applications, including the ability to produce neatly presented work
