Your new company
Our client is currently seeking an IT Head for one of their overseas subsidiaries (the role is based in Hong Kong). They are looking for a well-rounded technology leader with experience across ERP systems, application development, digital solutions, infrastructure, and IT operations. The successful candidate will lead the IT department and play an active role in IT strategy, business analysis, project delivery, and people management. Both Chinese and English communication skills are essential as the role involves frequent collaboration with senior stakeholders across multiple regions.

Your new role

• Lead the overall IT function for one of the overseas subsidiaries, overseeing the team for enterprise applications, ERP systems, infrastructure, information security, and IT operations (10+ FTEs).
• Partner with senior business stakeholders to understand business objectives and translate them into practical technology roadmaps, digital solutions, and data-driven strategies.
• Drive business analytics initiatives by leveraging data, reporting platforms, and BI tools to deliver actionable insights that improve operational efficiency and business performance.
• Be involved in the development, enhancement, and support of enterprise applications, ensuring alignment with business requirements and long-term scalability.
• Lead ERP and any potential digital transformation projects, including system upgrades, integrations, process automation, and the implementation of new technologies.
• Manage IT budgets, resource planning, vendor relationships, project governance, and service delivery standards.
• Act as a trusted advisor to management by providing strategic recommendations on technology investments and transformation initiatives.
• Mentor and develop IT team members while fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture.

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor's Degree or above in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Experience within the Retail, FMCG, Supply Chain, Logistics, Manufacturing, or Commercial sectors is highly preferred, along with proven experience managing overseas teams and collaborating with regional or international stakeholders.
• 15+ years of progressive IT experience with a broad background across enterprise applications, software development, ERP systems, infrastructure, and IT operations.
• Strong ERP experience, including implementation, enhancement, support, or integration projects. Experience with in-house or customized ERP platforms would be highly advantageous. Preferably possess strong knowledge of Supply Chain, Finance, and related business processes, along with integrations to CRM and other enterprise systems.
• Strong business analytics and senior stakeholder management experience, with a proven ability to support business decision-making and operational improvements.
• Proven leadership experience in a Head of IT, IT Director, or Senior IT Manager capacity, leading cross-functional teams of 10+ FTEs.
• Solid understanding of enterprise architecture, system integration, infrastructure, information security, and IT service management.
• Exposure to AI, GenAI, automation, or other emerging digital technologies would be considered a strong advantage.
• Proven track record of collaborating with business teams and translating business requirements into technology solutions.
• Experience in budgeting, vendor management, and resource planning.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong proficiency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin is required; must be currently based in Hong Kong with valid working rights.
