Responsibilities

• Partner with business and technology stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions.
• Design, develop, and maintain robust data models that support analytics, reporting, and business intelligence initiatives.
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines to integrate data from multiple platforms, including legacy and cloud-based systems.
• Ensure data is accessible, reliable, and fit for purpose across the organization.
• Drive data quality, governance, and compliance initiatives, establishing standards and monitoring frameworks to maintain data integrity.
• Support the migration and modernization of data platforms and architecture.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve data processes, workflows, and operational efficiency.
• Implement best practices for data engineering, automation, version control, and deployment processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues while continuously enhancing system performance and scalability.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering, data platform development, or related fields.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python with experience building production-grade data pipelines.
• Solid experience in data modelling, data warehousing, and analytics-focused data architecture.
• Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT frameworks and orchestration tools such as Airflow, Fivetran, dbt, or similar technologies.
• Experience working with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, AWS, Databricks, or equivalent environments.
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases and hybrid cloud/on-premises data integration architectures.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, DevOps practices, and modern software development methodologies.
• Understanding of data governance, data quality management, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Chinese language capability is highly preferred.
