Within ArcelorMittal Europe - Flat Products CIO, the Digital & IT CMO organization acts as the bridge between business stakeholders and technology solutions. The department supports commercial and operational processes, drives innovation, and delivers digital products that improve decision-making, customer engagement, operational efficiency, and business performance. The Data Science CMO team develops and supports advanced analytics, machine learning, Generative AI, and Agentic AI solutions that create measurable business value across commercial, marketing, customer engagement, sales, operational excellence, and decision-support processes.

We are seeking a highly motivated AI Intern to join the Data Science CMO team. The internship focuses on the next generation of AI-powered business solutions using Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Agentic AI architectures, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), machine learning, and advanced analytics.

The intern will contribute to the design and development of intelligent AI solutions capable of interacting with enterprise data sources, business knowledge repositories, analytical platforms, and operational systems. The objective is to enable business users to obtain insights, automate complex workflows, enhance decision-making, and improve productivity through natural language interactions and intelligent agents.

Internship Objectives

• Evaluate and prototype innovative AI use cases with business stakeholders.
• Design and implement Agentic AI solutions using modern AI frameworks and Large Language Models.
• Develop intelligent assistants capable of reasoning, planning, and interacting with enterprise systems.
• Enhance machine learning models and decision-support capabilities.
• Build Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions connected to enterprise knowledge sources.
• Develop dashboards and analytics visualizations for validation, monitoring, and business adoption.
• Support the industrialization, governance, and responsible deployment of AI solutions within an enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, prepare, and analyze business data from multiple enterprise sources.
• Develop machine learning and Generative AI prototypes.
• Build agent-based workflows capable of orchestrating multiple enterprise systems.
• Evaluate AI model performance and business impact.
• Create dashboards and monitoring solutions using Tableau or Power BI.
• Present findings and recommendations to business stakeholders.
• Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, architects and business experts.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency in English.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Python programming experience.
• Understanding of statistics, machine learning and data analysis.
• Familiarity with databases and SQL.
• Interest in Generative AI, Large Language Models and agentic systems.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with machine learning libraries such as Scikit-Learn, XGBoost, TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms and modern AI ecosystems.
• Exposure to LLMs, RAG, vector databases and prompt engineering.
• Experience with Tableau, Power BI or data visualization tools.
• Understanding of software engineering best practices and APIs.
• Interest in sustainability, industrial processes and business transformation.
