Role Summary

We are seeking a talented Research Analyst or Senior Research Analyst to join our EEMEA Cross Asset Strategy team. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to daily research operations at one of the world's leading global investment banks, leveraging expertise in macroeconomic analysis, quantitative modeling, and financial market research.

Key Responsibilities

1. Create and maintain Excel-based databases on a regular basis and gather data from various public sources
2. Analyze large datasets to identify patterns and trends relevant to emerging market economies
3. Build end-to-end econometric models using time series methods in Python, Matlab, or Eviews with sound understanding of economic fundamentals and their interrelationships
4. Monitor and provide support for existing automation projects and identify process improvement opportunities
5. Assist in the preparation and publication of weekly, monthly, and quarterly research deliverables
6. Stay informed on macroeconomic news, FX, and rates market developments impacting emerging markets
7. Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of balance of payments, government financing, debt dynamics, FX markets, international trade, and monetary and fiscal policies

Required Qualifications

1. Master's degree (M.A or M.Sc) in Economics from a reputed institute
2. Minimum 2+ years of relevant professional experience
3. Strong knowledge of financial markets and economic fundamentals
4. Proficiency in econometric analysis and statistical modeling
5. Advanced skills in Excel, charting, and PowerPoint
6. Working knowledge of Python, Matlab, Eviews, or other statistical software
7. Excellent quantitative skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
8. Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to effectively convey economic and financial concepts
9. Proven ability to interact effectively with global clients

Preferred Qualifications

1. Working experience with Bloomberg and Haver terminals
